Lately I have been picking up white pieces to wear over the summer. I am not a huge fan of white, mainly because I am a (embarrassingly enough) messy eater. Without fail, I always ruin something white no matter what I am eating. Maybe as I am getting older, I am trying to embrace the "Adult" and maybe keep myself together over dinner or just see how many white things I can ruin in a lifetime. Found this top at UO a few weeks back and couldn't resist on picking it up. Love the delicate lace detail, that makes wearing jeans a whole lot prettier.

I love simple dresses, especially in the summer. They are the easiest to throw on, stay cool and ultimately feel comfortable in. I found this little number before I was traveling to Palm Springs for the weekend at Forever21. I actually didn't get to wear it on the trip (sprained my foot) and was in jean shorts and tees the whole vacation. So pulling it out finally for this June gloom was actually perfect. I have a hard time liking anything with a "tube top" mainly because I am small chested and those dresses slide down all day. This one fortunately has these little sleeves that help keep the dress up and make it feel effortless.

I should of just named this blog "Little Striped Canadian"... since all I wear is stripes...  My mother used to always chime in when I was buying clothes as a teenager, especially when I would buy something with stripes. She would always say to me, "Danielle you are going to waste your money on that - your not going to wear it".. clearly that was never the case. Maybe I am making up for lost purchases when I was younger, and now I hoard stripes. This little jumper could swing to being hideous or just down right cute, and I love the darn thing.

I have found a endless love for skorts. Maybe it's stemming from my adolescent days where I am pretty sure I ran around in them all the time, but they are something that is slowly taking over my skirt collection.I found this one recently from Topshop where it actually has some texture to it, like the one I wore last month from Zara. Having something with texture adds more depth to an outfit for me. I am also trying to digest that June is almost over! Is anyone else feeling like this year is just flying by?

My boyfriend and I are huge fans of dressing up to go out on a date night. We like to incorporate a little "dating" into our relationship to keep things new and fresh. Most of the time date night can include movies, shows at the Pantages, going out for a drink, or just finding a new place to have dinner. I found this off the shoulder top at Forever21 for a steal of a deal, and just so happened to have the perfect body hugging skirt to match it to. It made what was two separate pieces, look like a matching set.

When buying any dress, I try to think of more than one place I can wear it to. I am always about multiple wears in an outfit, especially if I feel polished, pretty, and put together. This dress I found online through a friend. I have a dress that is similar in red, but is shaped differently. I bought this blind on the internet and having never tried it on - it fit perfectly. I have already worn it on a date night recently and planning on wearing this to a polished brunch with some friends.
