This top was a birthday present to myself a week or so ago. I noticed that I didn't have any "Professional looking" blouses, besides the ones that I have had for years. What caught my eye first was the tie detail in the front, and then the with the pin stripes (how could I resist). It's a very versatile blouse that can be dressed up and dressed down which I really could use.  

Into The Desert

These were from a cool collaborative project I did with a photographer friend out by Vasquez Rocks. We decided to stop on the way back in this field of weeds and see what we could photograph. Let's just say I sat on a pricker-bush, possibly taken a couple creatures home, thought I was being chased by a rattlesnake and it turns out it was a random hose in the desert. I almost cried taking one of the last photos where I am laying down, for the main fact I feel a rattlesnake staring at me, I had the best time.

Over the years I have slowly come to terms with skinny jeans. For the longest time I felt as though skinny jeans had made my 5'3 frame look shorter than it already was (5'4 on a good day}. Now, it's what I wear on a regular basis. I have found that wearing any type of heel with skinny jeans gives off that illusion that I am tall and slender. With this pair of Current Elliot, since they were already distressed, I decided to pair them with a sleek but neutral colored heel.
