Addicted to Aztec

{Zara Dress, Steve Madden Booties}

I have recently gone from an almost 500 sq foot apartment to a now 1,165 sq feet, and I feel utter lost. I even see it in my cats, whom huddle into the bedroom (not skittish) and lounge around. We have been used to such a small space together for so long that being in a larger place almost feels scary. I do it too, I end up hanging out in my bedroom even though I have a brand new couch. I figure in time I will start to settle and maybe even "accidentally" fall asleep on the couch. Risk taker here.

The Print Mix

{H&M Jacket, Zara Top, The Fifth Label Skirt}

There is something about mixing patterns to me that is eye appealing. I even do it in my home. I will mix a Moroccan design with stripes and so forth. Even in my bedroom right now I have a Aztec Printed bench, a Moroccan styled curtain and a Shiplap bedroom set... for me it just works. I have no idea why, but I love it. I have lived in several different states since I could move out. Since spending 10 years traveling like a gypsy - I have collected just an odd array of items. I couldn't even tell you what my aesthetic is - but it makes me feel like home. I think that's why I ended up pairing this skirt with a horizontal striped shirt just the other day for a small outing.  As for an update; we are officially all moved into our new apartment. Everything about the move was amazing. The cats traveled well, everything was safe during the drive and unpack, everyone enjoyed the cross country trip, and things have just fell into place just miraculously. Seriously - I started a new job only 4 days of landing in my new town. Sheer miracles... When everything is all set up, I plan on doing a house post - so stay tuned!

Layered Lace

{Zara Top and Jeans and Shoes}

Wearing an entire outfit by Zara was not intentional, I swear.  So I am officially back in Memphis, for good (for now)...It's going to take time for me to adjust to a whole new place, but I usually adapt well after a few weeks. This isn't my first time traveling to a new place, let alone living in a new state. When I was 18, I moved out of Boston, and into Albuquerque New Mexico - I followed a boy. It may have been the dumbest thing I did at 18, but in 4 years I learned more than people my age at the time. After a good solid 4 years, I moved back to Boston (for I think 2 years..?) and did a small stint in NY, then it was time again for me to find a new city to settle into. I kept thinking about LA, but couldn't officially say yes, until my mother convinced me to go. She kept saying "Do it so some day you don't regret not going"...  We set out yet again across country where I would spend 6 years, and possibly the most up and down six years of my life. I thought New Mexico was bad for all my experiences, but nothing compared me or prepared me for Los Angeles. I have loved it, hated it, and completely numb to at times... It wasn't until about a year ago that me and my boyfriend have thought about moving out of LA. We officially threw down the idea when we went on our two-month long vacation last year in December. We looked at apartments and fortunately fell in love with one location. So we put our deposit down and buckled down the hatches... or packed the hatches. We left LA on the 10th and arrived on the 15th, and its been busy ever since. I will check in again soon on my progress here and let you know how its going!!

Play all Day

{Zara Tank, Free People Jeans, Steve Madden Heels}

I pretty much obsessed over this blouse for a while after seeing it on Pinterest (here). Although at the time, It was a highly coveted blouse at Zara that practically sold out nation wide. It wasn't until I started using the depop app (buy and sell clothing) that I was able to track it down second hand. I also should of steamed this before taking photos, but If you can find the box with my steamer - than I will bake you cookies.... because I can't. What I love most about this blouse is how airy it is.. it's literally one of the most comfortable tank tops I own currently. It also has a built in bra, so there is no worries on having to squish a strapless underneath.
